Busybody Spell Check

"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less." "The question is," said Alice, "whether you can make words mean so many different things." "The question is," said Humpty Dumpty, "which is to be master—that's all."

I wonder if Lewis Carroll had a spell check?

SPELL CHECK

I’ve just locked horns with Spell Check,

This happens every day,

With both of us determined,

To have things our own way.

But this time, Master Spell Check,

Had really gone too far,

Perhaps it’s time to bid

That busybody, ‘au revoir.’

His stupid, bright red squiggles,

Are plastered everywhere,

He does it just to wind me up,

He really doesn’t care.

He’s squiggled under ‘squoggling,’

(A word of which I’m proud,)

He says that it does not exist,

And hence is not allowed.

He’s really got it so, so wrong,

Trust me, I should know,

Because I’d made it up myself,

Just two days ago.

But what this know-all doesn’t know,

Is that I am on a mission,

To put to use my brand new word,

By squoggling his position.
